

These three words can all be used interchangeably with “mixer.” A “console,” “desk,” or “board” are other names for an audio mixer. Let’s go over some language and terminology before we start. We may examine the channels and the master section in both of these builds. A DAW may be used to broadcast or receive sound across each channel. One route per channel exists on a split monitor console. An in-line mixer, for instance, can use the same channel in a recording environment to send and receive sound to or from a digital audio workstations (DAW). There are two pathways for each channel when there is an in-line mixer. Analog and digital audio mixers are also available. Live (at a concert), in a recording studio, for broadcast audio, and for film/television are the four main settings where mixers are utilised.
